“Regalis Foods is New York City’s leading importer of fresh truffles, rare foraged caviar, and an ever-evolving array of unique ingredients.”

Regalis Foods was started by Ian Purkayastha, who is known as Truffle Boy. He has been in love with truffles ever since his first bite when he was only a teenager. With his desire to taste more he started foraging in Arkansas and eventually importing truffles from Italy. When his first shipment of truffles arrived it was far too large to keep for himself. He decided to try and sell the rest of the shipment to restaurants in Manhattan. The chefs bought in and he was in business!

Today, Ian has expanded his line of fine imports to caviar, seafoods, mushrooms, wild greens, spices, oils, vinegars, and small kitchen tools. He continues to deal his truffles out of a van to Manhattan’s best restaurants, but most of his sales come from his website. The site is clean and holds the esteem that would be assumed with any high quality product or royalty, which is fitting with his crown logo. Upon arrival of the site you can tell immediately that Regalis is all about their high quality products. They are pictured on white or marbled backgrounds, which highlight their unique nature.

Most of the products are featured without packaging. The few that are packaged come in translucent glass jars with a gold metal lid. The white labels feature a navy blue Regalis name in serif type with the illustrated item in grey. Their products are pricey, but you can ensure quality!
