It is hard finding a good olive oil today. Like most other products, there are countless options, but which ones are actually wholesome? Not many. Round Pond is one of the exceptions. They are a full service winery in Napa Valley’s Rutherford region, which is recognized as one of the great viticultural regions of the world. It is also an ideal location for premium Italian and Spanish olives.

Their process combines both old and new world approaches. Their sustainable farming practices, hand-harvest and bottling is supplemented with state of the art technology.

“Our goal is simple — by remaining true to time-honored traditions we strive to bring you the best Napa Valley has to offer.”

In staying true to their goal, they constructed their own olive oil mill and imported olive trees from the Mediterranean. In addition to olive oil Round Pond produces and sells red wine vinegar, vinaigrettes, artisan syrup, and a variety of wines. They produce an extensive list of olive oil varieties such as Italian, Spanish, blood orange, meyer lemon, garlic infused, basil infused, lemon pepper infused, rosemary infused, and chili infused. Each olive oil is crushed by individual varietal, similar to their wines. The website includes tasting notes for each varietal so you know what to expect when you have the first taste.

Their packaging consists of clear green bottles in different sizes with a simple cork and logo. The bottles allow the prized liquid to shine. Each varietal is expensive, but well worth the extra buck!
