The idea to start Radify Labs came late in 2017. Andy Page was serving as the director of an immersive summer program at a non-profit bootcamp in Charlottesville, VA. This summer program helped students learn tech skills in a classroom and participate in an internship in Charlottesville.

That fall, Andy received over 800 applications for this summer program which had only 60 spots. In one day he ended up having to send over 700 rejection emails to students who were completely qualified to participate in the program and that made him feel absolutely terrible. He wanted there to be a way that all of these qualified, motivated students could spend time learning job ready skills and preparing themselves for their careers.

That’s when Andy teamed up with Allison to start Radify Labs. Allison was currently serving as the Design Instructor at the same nonprofit bootcamp. They talked to each other and countless university students about how they could serve more students by bringing this type of education online. That’s when Andy and Allison started Radify Labs.

To date Radify Labs has helped 200 students learn technical skills, develop their professional skills, connect with mentors in the field, and secure jobs and summer internships. You can learn more about Radify Labs programs at radifylabs.com!
