When I first discovered Renoise, I was immediately hooked by the way that the numbers seemed to be constantly moving, almost as if I were a hacker at work. This gave me a sense of excitement and empowerment that I hadn’t felt before when creating music.

One of the things that I really enjoyed about Renoise was its vertical approach to music composition. Instead of being limited to working with one track at a time, I could see and work with all of my tracks simultaneously, making it much easier to create complex and dynamic compositions.

Another aspect of Renoise that I found appealing was its nostalgic and retro aesthetic. As a fan of artists like Venetian Snares and Square Pusher, I appreciated the way that Renoise harkened back to the early days of electronic music while still feeling fresh and modern.

Overall, Renoise was a game-changer for me in terms of music composition. It opened up new possibilities and allowed me to create music in ways that I never thought were possible. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or a newcomer to the world of electronic music, I would highly recommend giving Renoise a try.

As Gorgonelia, I am proud to have written and released two experimental breakcore albums with Renoise: “Lemonade” and “Greece”. These albums represent the culmination of my love for breakcore and my passion for creating music.

Writing and producing these albums was a thrilling and rewarding experience. I had a lot of fun learning new techniques and experimenting with different sounds, and I was surprised at how quickly and easily the music came together.

“Lemonade”, is my debut breakcore album. This album was a labor of love, as I was inspired by a range of influences, including artists like Venetian Snares and the surrealist movement.

I spent countless hours experimenting with different sounds and textures, trying to create a unique and distinctive sound that would capture the chaotic and frenetic energy of breakcore. The result was “Lemonade”, an album that features a mix of chaotic and frenetic tracks that showcase my love for breakcore and its heavy, distorted beats.

Overall, “Lemonade” is a chaotic album that captures the essence of breakcore. I had a lot of fun experimenting with different sound textures and psychedelia..

“Greece”, an album that was inspired by the emotions I was feeling during a tough time in my life. While watching Greek television series, I was struck by the negative and intense feelings that I saw on screen, and I decided to use these emotions to fuel my music.

“Greece” is not my latest album, but it is a powerful and personal reflection of a time when I was struggling to find my way. The album explores a more weird and noisy sound, flirting with drum and bass and chiptune music. Also fusion of jazz and jungle. Flirting with the entropic feeling of morning loneliness.

Despite the difficult circumstances under which it was created, I think that “Greece” is a unique and compelling album that captures the essence of breakcore. I was not inspired by the ancient culture of Greece, but by the raw and emotional turmoil that I was experiencing at the time.

I am grateful to have been able to express myself through this album, and I look forward to continuing to create and share music as Gorgonelia.
