The Sea Dogs and Fisher Cats continue their four-game series on Saturday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium…Before today’s game, the Sea Dogs received RHP Noe Ramirez from High-A Salem.

‘DOGS AND ‘CATS: The Sea Dogs and New Hampshire Fisher Cats play game three of their four-game series on Saturday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium…Portland’s last series win came on May 20–23 at Hadlock Field, taking three of four from the New Hampshire Fisher Cats…If Portland wins the final two games of this series, they will have their first road-series win since April 30-May 2, sweeping a three-game series in Reading…RHP Matt Barnes makes his 40th career start and his third against New Hampshire.

QUITE A BATTER: Knuckleballer Charlie Haeger (4–4) tossed eight scoreless frames and Catcher Christian Vazquez went 4-for-5, as the Sea Dogs beat the Fisher Cats 5–1 on Friday night…Haeger scattered seven hits, fanned seven and didn’t issue a walk for the first time since a MLB Rehab start in 2010 with the Arizona Dodgers…Vazquez knocked in the game’s first run with a single in the fourth and nailed an RBI double in the eighth…SS Heiker Meneses went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI…Michael Almanzar finished 3-for-4 with a run-scoring double in the ninth.

TURNING THINGS AROUND: Vazquez has raised his average 25 points, going 7-for-12 during a 3-game hitting streak…The Portland catcher has both 4-hit games with the Sea Dogs against the Fisher Cats (last night and May 22nd)…Meneses has a 5-game hitting streak: 9-for-17 (.529), HR, 3 RBI.

NEW ARM IN THE MIX: RHP Noe Ramirez was assigned to Portland today from High-A Salem and will be making his Double-A debut…Ramirez went 2–1, 2.11 ERA (11 ER/47.0) with one save in 21 games with the Salem Sox and had a strikeout in 19 of 21 appearances…Both wins against Myrtle Beach in back-to-back outings (May 31 & June 3).

HEY, I’M AN ALL-STAR: The Sea Dogs will send Almanzar, Britton, RHP Anthony Ranaudo and Vazquez to this year’s Eastern League All-Star Game on July 13th in New Britain, Connecticut…Almanzar and Ranaudo were selected through fan voting.

THAT’S NOT ALL: Ranaudo and former Sea Dog Xander Bogaerts were selected to the Sirius/XM Future’s Game on Sunday, July 14th at Citi Field in New York…For the first time in the 15-year history of the game, fans can vote for the final spot for each squad…To vote for Cecchini text U2 at 892969 or #VoteCecchini on Twitter.
