Congrats to INF Heiker Meneses, who makes his Triple-A debut with Pawtucket…Meneses hit .255 in 92 games with Portland…Former Sea Dog INF Oscar Tejeda is hitting .257 in 25 games with the Curve.

VISTING PA: The Sea Dogs open up a six-game roadtrip on Tuesday night against the Altoona Curve (Pirates affiliate) at Peoples Natural Gas Field…Portland dropped five of six on their previous roadtrip and trail the Trenton Thunder by six games for the second playoff spot with 22 games left in the regular season…The ‘Dogs have won only two series since July 3rd, taking two of three at Bowie (August 2–4) and sweeping a four-game series at New Britain (July 22–24).

FIVE SPOT DID IT: Bowie scored five runs in the eighth inning and beat the Sea Dogs 6–5 on Sunday afternoon at Hadlock Field…LF J.C. Linares knocked in a season-high four runs, going 3-for-5 with a 3-run homer (#4) and a run-scoring single…C Matt Spring added a sacrifice fly for Portland’s final run…RHP Miguel Celestino (1–9) took the loss, giving up consecutive two-out run-scoring hits in the eighth…RF Garabez Rosa nailed a game-winning three-run shot over the Maine Monster…C David Ross went 1-for-1 with a double, walk and two runs scored to complete his two-game MLB Rehab Assignment.

WELCOME TO PORTLAND DEVEN: SS Deven Marrero joins Portland from High-A Salem, after hitting .256 (85-for-332) with 2 homers, 21 RBI and 21 stolen bases in 85 games in the Carolina League…Marrero was the 24th overall pick in the 2012 June draft by Boston and ranks the #10 prospect in the system according to Baseball America and MLB.com.

BOTH HAVE NINE LIVES: Linares and C Christian Vazquez both enter tonight’s game with a season-high nine-game hitting streaks, tying a team high…Portland’s last hitting streak of 10+ games was Jeremy Hazelbaker’s 13-game hitting streak from July 28- August 14, 2012.

NOT MUCH RELIEF: Portland’s bullpen went 1–3, 9.90 ERA (22 ER/20.0 IP) during the six-game homestand…The ‘pen blew all five save opportunities and earned one hold…Celestino is now leading the team in losses with nine.
