Luis Castillo (1996) — Castillo hit .317 in 1996, the sixth best single-season average in team history…He appeared in 109 games with the ‘Dogs in ’96, collecting 15 doubles and 7 triples…Castillo played in the Major Leagues for 15 years with Florida, Minnesota and the New York Mets.

Dustin Pedroia (2005) — The Sea Dogs Hall of Famer made quite the impression in just 66 games with Portland in ’05, hitting .324, 8 HR and 40 RBI…Pedey has a mainstay as Boston’s second baseman, as he’s played 12 seasons in the Majors.

Mookie Betts (2014) — Mookie Madness burst onto the scene in 2014 and hit .355, 6 HR, 34 RBI in just 54 games…On Opening night, Betts led off the season with a homer in Reading…Mookie has a career .292 average in just 508 Major League games.
