Week in Review for the Portland Sea Dogs

  1. Dustin Pedroia returned to Portland on a Major League Rehab Assignment on May 2nd...Pedroia is a member of Portland’s Hall of Fame.
  2. On Sunday, the Red Sox assigned former big leaguer Cody Asche to Portland. Asche has appeared in 390 MLB games.
  3. Portland will have a stretch of three road series of 14 days, playing 11 games away from Maine; May 10–23, just three games.
  4. Marcus Wilson has been moved to the lead-off spot and hit his first homer on April 29th at Hartford.
  5. Dedgar Jimenez won his fifth start of the season on May 5th in game one of a doubleheader…Jimenez was in danger of losing three straight starts with the Sea Dogs getting a shutout, but they rallied for 4 runs in the sixth inning.
  6. C.J. Chatham is 8-for-14 during a four-game hitting streak and he leads the team with a .341 average.
