Over the last 6 months, we’ve developed a new strategy to better adapt ourselves and our product to new challenges in this ever evolving industry. While our roadmaps of the past were primarily focused on development — specifically the 2nd layer solution (The SmartChain) — a new vision for the future has been established, spearheaded by 3 main pillars: Development, Community Building and Marketing.

Development

The Radium Core blockchain is currently in the process of being upgraded to a more modern codebase which will include the option to activate SegWit. This opens up new possibilities for the 2nd layer including the ability to conduct Atomic Swaps which will in turn allow for Radium to be listed on more platforms.

Sync times will be significantly reduced and in preliminary tests, the results speak for themselves. We are seeing sync times reduced by an average of 200%. It will no longer take 1–2 days for the wallet to synchronize the blockhain; rather, it will take a far more palatable 2–3 hours.

Bringing advanced utility to the blockchain remains our primary goal. The SmartChain will be revised to improve both user experience (UX) and graphic user interface (GUI). The code is being updated to the latest industry standards. Product discovery will be employed in full force in order to ensure that we develop software that caters to our clients and prospective clients. An example of this is the upcoming Graduate Certificate Pilot Program in cooperation with the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).

Community Building

It is paramount for an open source, public ledger like the Radium blockchain to build and support a strong community. We are introducing community events to reward our existing community members and to attract new users.

Radium has been listed on several Asian exchanges over the last 6 months, so we believe the time has come to acquire a dedicated community manager for the Asian markets.

Marketing

Radium has been an adaptable, constantly evolving entity and over the years, it has maintained the same name and yet its focus has shifted. Over the past several months, it became clear that a rebranding was needed as the term ‘Radium’ has some unfortunate negative connotations and it no longer accurately represents any facet of the project. We will release a blog post that will describe the rebrand in more detail.

In an effort to facilitate an expanded understanding regarding our core technology and thus make it easier to attract new users worldwide, the white paper has been translated in 5 additional languages (Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Korean and Japanese).

We are in contact with several YouTube influencers to help spread awareness of the project.

Beyond

While we’ve only briefly scraped the surface in terms of what we hope to accomplish over the coming months and years, it will undoubtedly be an exciting year for Radium. We’ve got upgrades, expansionary efforts, and widespread overhauls in the works. We have a growing, diligent, and hungry team whom want nothing but success. We are ready for 2020 and beyond and cannot wait to begin revealing what we’ve been working on. Onward and upwards and most importantly forward, always.
