A lamentation and a prayer, Jeff Beam’s single Stephen King has all the glowing lo-fi production and brilliant ambiance local indie fans have come to expect from this Portland staple. The single’s morose tone perfectly matches the haunted, introspective autumn season — as well as the work of Maine’s new mascot for whom the song is named. Released in anticipation of Beam’s eponymous third full length studio album Jeff Beam which is set to drop in 2020, Stephen King is a great teaser for what lies in store.

Beam has been hard at work in the few years since his last full-length release, giving lots of live performances around the US and Canada. Last year his music video, for one-off single Something Came From Nothing, garnered a much deserved win at the Music Video Portland Awards. Jeff’s got a number of hometown shows coming up throughout the rest of the fall and winter.
