Recently nominated in the Best In State for Maine category of the 2019 New England Music Awards, Drew’s music has been in regular rotation on Maine radio since her debut solo release in 2015. Since 2007, Drew’s work in various Maine projects has received multiple nominations in the Portland Phoenix Best of Music Polls as well as made finals of the International Songwriting Competition and the Maine Songwriters Association Annual Songwriting Contest. A hospice worker by day, she wrote the title track of Rockbiter over the course of several substance-related losses within her circle of friends and credits her day-job as the inspiration for the track, “American Beauty”.
Maine musician, Jenny Lou Drew, will release her sophomore solo record, Rockbiter, at Portland House of Music and Events with a full band on August 10th. Doors will open at 8:00 pm and Drew will share the stage with supporting local artists, Lauren Crosby, and Earl Mac. Tickets are now available, price is $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
Listen to the first track off the record, Porcelain Doll, and grab a pre-order. Rockbiter will be distributed digitally. A limited-edition compact disc of the album is currently available for pre-sale on the Bandcamp page and will be made available at live shows as well as select Bull Moose Music locations.
