Maine-based feminist rockers Bait Bag announce the release of their new pro-choice anthem, “My Body, My Choice” on January 10. Sales of the single and a corresponding t-shirt at baitbag.bandcamp.com will benefit Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.

The release coincides with the band’s participation in the Girls Just Wanna Have FUNdamental Rights benefit at Port City Music Hall taking place on January 10, which will benefit Maine Family Planning and PPNNE. Body autonomy is one of the band’s core values, and many of Bait Bag’s previous releases explore that theme. Bait Bag, whose music winks at punk and riot grrrl, hails from North Haven Island. Their resume includes opening for Deerhoof and Screaming Females, being a WERU featured band in July 2019, and the nomination of their music video for “Tear Me In Two” for a Portland Music Video Award. Their fourth EP, Consider This a Warning, will be released in March 2020.
