It makes a difference in your portfolio have knowledge in UI UX being a front-end developer?

One of the first things that is required to do a web application or even a website is a basic sketch of the project, after that you need a complex design so you can replicate the design into an HTML, CSS and JS or whatever language you use.

So why don’t you dev learn how to do user interface and user experience draws instead another people?

Here are some reasons to learn UI and UX design as a dev:

Became a developer that have huge notion of usability.

That notion and knowledge will make you different from other developers, will make you not waste your time and help you to write better codes.

Save money doing your own designs instead pay other person to do it.

This is kind obvious, but is really relevant when you are freelancer and only do coding and don’t design.

Be relevant in the job market.

It is not a secret that UX Design market is getting bigger every year. Be a professional who knows how to draw and code your projects is a big deal.

The study “Kleiner Perkins’s 2017 Internet Trends”, published by consultancy KPCB, says that major technology companies such as Amazon, Facebook and Google are prioritizing the design of their platforms.

Some new design apps are making design looks a lot easier. You probably already heard about Figma or Adobe XD.

These two apps were made for you who don’t have much knowledge about UI and UX Design.

Beside these apps you need some inspiration, right?

I’m sure you have Pinterest downloaded on your smartphone, that app can be a good start to your design inspirations.

Don’t waste more money and time, go learn UI and UX Design. There is a lot of YouTube videos and free courses available on internet.
