As mentioned before, when performing a Level-up Merge with Ragmons as materials, if you’ve used enough Ragmons but your target Ragmon doesn’t level up, there’s a chance you’ll receive Yggdrasil Berries.
How to Obtain Yggdrasil Berries
The image of Yggdrasil Berry may look familiar to RO players.
In Ragnarok: Monster World, Yggdrasil Berries are special fruits that can be used as materials to level up your Ragmons. If a Level-up Merge fails, meaning your Ragmon does not level up, you have a chance to receive Yggdrasil Berries.
For example, when attempting to level up a Level 1 Poring to Level 2, you might encounter one of three outcomes:
- One Level 2 Poring
- One Level 1 Poring and one Yggdrasil Berry
- One Level 1 Poring
Yggdrasil Berries can be obtained with a probability ranging from 0% to 100%, with an average chance of 50%, during a failed Level-up Merge.
Uses of Yggdrasil Berries
Once obtained, Yggdrasil Berries can be used as materials in your next Level-up Merge attempt. When used in a merge, each Yggdrasil Berry is equivalent in value to a Level 1 Ragmon of the same grade, thereby increasing your chances of a successful merge. If you find yourself short on identical Ragmons required for a merge, using Yggdrasil Berries can be very useful. Instead of sacrificing additional Ragmons to ensure a 100% success rate, using Yggdrasil Berries guarantees a successful level-up while saving your Ragmons.
However, it’s important to note that Yggdrasil Berries are also categorized by grades, just like Ragmons. When using them in a Level-up Merge, you must use Yggdrasil Berries of the same grade as the Ragmon you intend to level up. For instance, for a Common-grade Poring, you can only use Common-grade Yggdrasil Berries. Similarly, for a Rare-grade Ragmon Merge, you would use Rare Yggdrasil Berries; for an Epic-grade, Epic Yggdrasil Berries; for Legendary, Legendary Yggdrasil Berries; and for Mythic, Mythic Yggdrasil Berries. Also, note that when using Yggdrasil Berries in a Level-up Merge, you must include at least one Ragmon as a merge ingredient — you cannot perform a level-up merge with only Yggdrasil Berries as ingredients.
Yggdrasil Sales
Yggdrasil Berries also play a crucial and valuable role in leveling up Ragmons, as well as in the upcoming ‘Upgrade’ function. Details on this will be explained further in a later post. Given their rarity with a fifty-fifty chance of obtaining them when a Level-up Merge fails, purchasing Yggdrasil Berries in advance during our upcoming sales could prove beneficial if you plan to level up your Ragmons.
