For those unaware, this publication aims to provide a glimpse into what Raid Guild — a decentralized collective of mercenaries, has been up to lately. En garde ⚔️
Raid Guild is steadily building the future of work; creating the infrastructure needed to coordinate, facilitate governance, and execute decision making at scale.
Underneath the surface, the Guild is working on several initiatives, here’s a quick update on all of the juicy alpha going around the guild today 👇
🧙♀️ Season 1 Update 🧙♀️
Launching on May 17th, 2021 — Season 1 cohort has brought +50 new apprentices to the Guild.
Beyond the diversity of applicants, what is most exciting to see within this new wave of apprentices is their shared excitement to shape the future of work and contribute alongside Raid Guild to the web3 ecosystem!
Season 1 apprentices have been quick to prove their value to the Guild, with various members self-selecting and coalescing around projects they’re interested in.
After just one week, the cohort has deployed a DAO, began work on a website for Season 1 apprentices, and started a GDPR playbook for Raid Guild to begin thinking about data privacy for the community.
Skill Shill & Props
In addition to the emerging projects, apprentices have not feigned from showing off their skills to the guild, check this map of apprentice and member skills below 👇
There are numerous apprentices producing tremendous work, and to dish props to only a few seems unfair. With that, we would like to acknowledge and give gratitude to all of the apprentices in the Guild, thank you!

💸 Smart Invoice 💸
If this is the first you are hearing of Smart Invoice, you’re in for a treat!
Raid Guild built Smart Invoice to facilitate payments between freelancers and their clients in a semi-trustless and permissionless manner.

🗣 Embracing and Extending Community 🗣
Gitcoin, the premier grants platform that leverages web3 technologies for democratic funding of public goods, launched a token on Tuesday, May 25th.\
We thank you our fellow Gitcoin friends for continuing to set a good example for what it means to build for crypto and not just in crypto.
After roughly four years of building and funding public goods in the web3 space, Gitcoin decided it was time to launch their token.
Gitcoin’s goal by launching a token is to decentralize Gitcoin’s treasury management, grants approval process, and dispute resolution to the wider community of $GTC holders and to create “Federated DAOs” for funding the future of the open web!

We’re ecstatic at the pace Raid Guild is growing, and we’re committed to ensuring the quality of our work is improved as we scale, our Cohort training seasons are a keen example of that.
Before Season0, much of our engagement from newcomers prevailed through word of mouth, which was great because passion and talent would float in randomly, ready to embark on slaying web3 demons and making new allies along the way.
This culture of travelers, pioneers, and foragers meeting and greeting to accomplish work in the Metaverse is one that the Guild prides itself on and that we must preserve as we scale.
If you have talent and more importantly passion to work in this emerging Web3 environment, we encourage you to join us. We are your allies, your mentors, and your equals on this journey 🤝🏻
