Armory/Crucible Workaround

Update: Some realms/characters are not properly finding Crucible info. I’ll be digging in later today.

The Armory is not currently providing Crucible data so I’ve developed a workaround for the website and the Discord bot.

To get Armory sims on the website and Discord bot to use your Crucible traits, you need to run a simulation on the site using the copy/paste input from the SimulationCraft addon.

Every time you run a sim using the SimC input, Raidbots will store that as the most recent Crucible traits for your character (this needs to be done for each spec since the data is per-artifact). The website and Discord Bot use the latest version of the Crucible data it has for your character. If your Crucible data is missing or out-of-date, the bot and website will let you know. This is only for Armory imports — SimC input should always be correct.

If your artifact level or equipped relics have changed since the SimC import, the site or bot will tell you your Crucible data is out-of-date. It will still sim with the old knowledge since that’s probably better than no traits at all. To get it updated once again, just run a sim on the website with more recent SimC input and things will sort themselves out.

How Do I run a sim using the SimC addon on the website?

  1. Download and install the SimulationCraft addon on your gaming machine
  2. Log into your character
  3. Type /simc and hit return. This will pop up the SimC input
  4. Copy the text from the popup
  5. Open up Quick Sim in a web browser
  6. Paste the SimC text into the “B) Paste From SimC Addon” text area
  7. Run the Simulation
  8. Repeat 3–8 for each spec that you want tracked
