As part of their Earth Day celebrations, the EPA posted a downloadable activity book for kids: “Join the Lorax.”

The EPA has many other publications aimed at children. To search publications, go here. The search interface is a bit clunky, but one of the things that I really like about this area is that you can either download items or, for many items, order a physical copy (free). I’ve ordered several items and been very pleased with the quality of the items that arrived. Teachers and librarians may want to request multiple copies, but anyone can request these items.

In the list of search results, items that are available as hard copies and can be mailed to you will have a blue USPS logo to the side.

When you click on a publication from the list of search results, look for the area on the right that says “Get a Copy” to request a physical copy or to download the item.[/caption]

Other publications aimed at kids include:

In addition to the educational publications aimed at children and the technical reports, a lof the publications are aimed at adults. People involved with schools may want to search for school-related documents (there’s a lot), and homeowners may be interested in items like “Water-Smart Landscapes.”
