Winter Walks with Toddlers (a parenting haiku)

Feeling quiet and whimsical, today’s blog diverges from the ordinary Raising Beena Boo format; it’s a haiku. Writing it helped me to meditate and sort out the push-pull of children asserting their independence and parents’ roles in giving them latitude and protecting them.
Winter Stroll
On a sidewalk stroll
you dart towards the wet street.
Mom’s arms lift you up.
