Introduction

About one year ago, I started reading again in hope to understand better how the world works. My first read was “Growth Hacking” by Sean Ellis and I was truly excited. Book after book, it started making more sense up to the point I started understanding cross-references. It was a delightful experience and I was very happy to share my discoveries with my friends.

After a while, my understanding and interpretation of the books became insufficient so I became the guy who was borrowing books to my friends all the time. The discussions became more interesting and lead to more ideas.

The idea of sharing books and discussing it made me think that it would be cool to find more people who have similar interests and extend the circle. So we started thinking how could we make it happen?

Crazy idea

We realised that books were the needed source of input which gave us raw content to discuss concrete ideas rather than opinions.

Next important part is gathering a circle of people who share similar interests and are hungry for content.

That is how we came up with the concept of a reading hub. It’s a community where people who share similar interests, analyse and discuss the meaning of various books.

The concept

As an inspiration, we took the old concept of a library which has been out there for thousands of years(wiki reference).

Since then, the world has evolved a lot and our lives became much more complex. It is important to make the process of getting your hands on a book as simple as possible. That is why we deliver the books straight to your home or office.

Once you’ve got the book, you have up to one month to read it. We do understand that your life is busy and we do not want to contribute to that in any way. That is why we decided to set a target of one book per month for every member of our reading hub. Most people can finish reading 20 pages within 30 minutes(interesting article about it). It means that dedicating 15 minutes of your time per day is enough to finish a book per month.

To build up a community where people can meet other brilliant minds and share ideas, we will host regular meetings with our reading hub members.

Raketa Hub

While translating this concept into a business we decided to call it: Raketa Hub. “Raketa” comes from the Russian language and means rocket. Our mission statement is:

We want to help people explore their full potential so that we can build together a better world.

As the first successful launch of a human in space opened a whole new universe of discoveries, you will discover a whole new universe with every book you read.

For the monetization, we decided to go with the subscription-based business model. Since we aim to build a community, we would like to establish a long term relationship with our members. The subscription-based business model allows us to do so by making our product affordable to the end customers and profitable as a business in the long run.

Final thoughts

The main goal of this post is to spread the word and hopefully inspire someone else to start reading. In case you decide to do so and you found interesting our concept, we would be glad to have you as a customer. You can subscribe and find more information about us at https://www.raketahub.com.
