$R Coin Has Entered the Chat

--

tldr; $R Coin is a live, non-Rewards eligible Creator Coin that provides the Rally team with a tool to learn and innovate, offering new opportunities to educate, reward, and celebrate our community.

Today we’re unveiling the $R Coin, a new Creator Coin on Rally.io that we, the Rally team, will be launching and managing! ($R Coin is our coin, get it?) (⌐■_■)

As previously noted, $R Coin gives the Rally team a platform to help us learn how it feels to be a creator on Rally, allowing us to experience what Rally.io developers go through first hand, giving us a chance to use Rally.io’s features and tools like our community does, and rewarding and celebrating our Rally community.

$R Coin will not be a tool that the Rally team will use to collect any proceeds or earn rewards. To that end, $R will not be eligible for Community Activity Rewards. Also, when we mint NFTs or sell merchandise, proceeds/royalties from any sales will go to the artists, creators, and organizations we work with, or else they will be funneled back into the $R Coin program budget. (Stay tuned for more to come on how to collaborate with us on future $R affiliated NFTs and other projects.) While we are happy for the community to get involved and engaged with $R, to ensure fair participation in the $R community, purchases of $R will be limited to USD$200 per 24-hour period for the first two weeks.

After the $R Coin launch, we will mint and distribute the commemorative birthday NFTs we promised for our 1-year anniversary celebration! All Creator Coin holders, Creators, and Approved Developers will receive a commemorative Rally birthday NFT created by Dan Bird from the KnownUnknown community founded by James Sommerville ($KUDOS Coin). We will have separate NFT variants by Holder, Creator, and Developer types, and people eligible in all three categories will be able to collect all three.

Thanks for being part of Rally over the course of the past year. We look forward to innovating with $R alongside our amazing creator and developer communities.
