New Creators:

Raquel Lily/ $RAQ

Born in the Philippines, raised in New York and currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Raquel is typically known through the live streaming platform, Twitch. However, the independent musician and producer’s background originally emerged from the medical field. Holding a degree in Neurobiology, Physiology & Behavior upon graduating UC Davis, Lily left to feed her creativity and began online streaming in 2017

Toph/$TOPH

Toph is a Super Smash Bros Melee caster, streamer, and premier anime taste haver. Once a software engineer at Twitch and other Bay Area tech companies, Toph is now full-time esports, creating content on Twitch and Youtube.

Will Atkinson/ $VCTMS

While others are restrained by genre association, Will Atkinson runs free, refusing to conform or be pigeon holed. Is he tech, trance, techno, electronica, progressive, experimental? He is all of them — and so much more.

Project News:

On Tuesday, it was announced that Rally formed an alliance with UTA, a leading global talent, sports and entertainment agency, to recruit creators, artists, celebrities, athletes and more to launch their own social tokens.

On Thursday, it was announced that the community overwhelmingly passed the decentralization proposal, along with the news of a community raise of $50 million USD flowing directly to the community treasury through token sales conducted by a community-appointed agent.

On Saturday, Coinbase featured Rally as part of its Coinbase Earn program where fans can earn $RLY by learning more about the Rally project. Check it out here.

Industry News:

  • Bright, a video platform that lets fans chat with celebs and creators, raised $15 million Asthon Kutcher’s fund, Techcrunch reported. Rachel Zoe, Judd Apatow and other stars joined the round, according to The Information.
  • Livestreaming startup Moment House closed a $12 million funding round from United Talent Agency, Halsey and Clubhouse’s Aarthi Ramamurthy, The Information reported. The company originally raised from Troy Carter, Scooter Braun and was a graduate of Dr. Dre’s innovation academy at the University of Southern California, according to Hypebot.
  • Clubhouse launched Creator Commons, a resource for creators to learn about the tools, business models, and best practices around being a successful creator.
  • The social token community Friends With Benefits is in talks with noted investors including a16z’s Chris Dixon and creator economy specialist Li Jin to raise a funding round. The community would sell investors tokens from its treasury, with a slice of the deal also open to community members.
  • The NFT boom continues. The largest NFT marketplace Opensea reported over $1 billion in sales, a new record, according to Decrypt. The platform is on pace to do over $2.5 billion in sales for August, representing a more than 600% increase over the previous record of $326 million — which was set last month.
