Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock (RPSLS) is a game invented by Sam Kass in 1998 and popularised by Sheldon Cooper in the hit series The Big Bang Theory. It is a variation of the classic Rock, Paper, Scissors (RPS), or more commonly known in New Zealand, Paper, Scissors, Rock.

“Oh, it’s very simple. Scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock, rock crushes Lizard, Lizard poisons Spock, Spock smashes scissors, scissors decapitates Lizard, Lizard eats paper, paper disproves Spock, Spock vaporizes rock, and as it always has, rock crushes scissors.” — Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory).

Now, lets break it down so that we can understand and memorise the rules.
