Morning Shift

A Haiku

Photo by Dapo Oni on Unsplash

Burnt honey lingers,

Sun rays peek over the fence,

Morning shift awaits.

Since my brother started working in honey production, we have had an excess of honey, and so, it has become my ritual to have a honey tea (a heaped teaspoon of honey with boiling water) before my morning shift.
