Intro

Because it is getting close to the holiday season and I have been doing things with my family, this week’s and most likely next week’s blog entries will be a bit shorter than normal. I was planning on having research ready on different paper types (I haven’t forgotten @ PNG, I appreciate the request!) but I ended up having less time than I thought I would to compile my information. So, that and information on different types of ink will come out in a few weeks. In the meantime, I am going to do this room deduction blog and a requested topic about information inside your memory palace!

About these specific room deductions:

I wasn’t initially going to include these because I didn’t get much in the way of replies to confirm or deny my conclusions and they are a bit shorter in terms of what I sent. Because of this, I want you to please message me or comment and tell me if you agree or disagree with the conclusions I came to or if you would like to add anything you noticed! However, I have decided to include these and explain where I got my information to serve as a further example for you! I am also going to include some pictures from a cabin that I recently visited at the end of the blog and leave it up to you to deduce based on those. I will reply to any comments on that topic as to if I agree with your conclusions or not.

Room 1 and Explanation

What I Sent:

You are a female, name possibly Mairi. I’d say you are in your mid to late teens, possibly early twenties but less likely. You are a musician and an artist. You are from Germany and enjoy going to concerts, more the popular music type of concerts as opposed to classical. However, being a musician, you have an appreciation classical and other forms of music. You are a well-organized person who prefers to keep their things neat, and I’d say right-handed based on the general placement of things. I can’t tell if this area is a desk area or not, but I would say you set your instrument case or maybe your paints on that table while working. You spend a lot of time practicing both music and art and could possibly be thinking of a career in one of those areas. I think you also have an interest in science based on the Darwin book and could be thinking of something in the scientific realm as a career as well. Based on the evidence left on your pin board, I think you are sentimental, in the way that you like to have things around to represent your good memories, friends and family. You most likely have a slightly introverted personality, but you are individualistic based on the color scheme. I think you have taken at least one art class or have educated yourself on proper form etc. seeing as your human figures appear to be planned out well. You enjoy reading as well but don’t do an overly extensive amount of it. I think you are either in late high school years or early university. You might enjoy snacking while you work, but not while you are playing your instrument obviously. You have taken this picture with a camera which means you have a computer to upload the picture here with as it is the easiest way to get pictures off of a camera. You have at least one apple product. You speak German and English. I think you also don’t live here alone.

Explanation:

I did a lot of the explaining in what I sent already but I’ll cover everything in more specifics. Female because of the name and the color schemes being more probably to be a female inhabitant as the products sitting on the dresser in the corner. The name is from the fish on her board. They wouldn’t have someone else’s name displayed like that. The age is because of the overall setup of the area and the activities that are being participated in, such as the music stand and the art. Those things are more often side activities someone of around that age participate in. If they were older it would contain a different setup even if it still included the musical and artistic activities. They are from Germany because some of the things on the board are in German. You can tell by the artists of the tickets on the board what type of music they like and obviously, as a musician, they would have at least a passing interest in some form of more traditional or classical music. Well organized and neat because of the general placement of items. This picture doesn’t appear to be staged in any way and was just taken as the room was so you can tell that they keep things generally somewhat neat. Right-handed is because of the general placement of things as I said above. All things that require movement are angled as a right-handed person would do and are generally where a right-handed person would automatically place things. Seeing as the music stand and the art seem to have a permanent home there you can tell that the table is used for their instrument case and/or art supplies while working. This does appear to be their main work-space for these activities. Spends a lot of time doing those activities because they are left out and displayed. If someone didn’t spend a lot of time doing those then they would be stored away. Interest in science is because of the Darwin book. I explained the sentimentality a bit above. They are sentimental in nature because of the fact they display things from family and friends instead of packing them away somewhere. They want to look at those items and reminisce about good times, which is why they are on the pin board. People with brighter color schemes are usually more extroverted but they also have more introverted interests based on the image, so they only have a slight introverted tendency and are very individualistic. They may not describe themselves as an introvert and I won’t claim to know if they do or not, this is just what I see. I explained the art class thing. You have to learn and practice drawing human figures, so they have spent time doing this. Most likely explanation is a class of some kind but they could have also taught themselves. They enjoy reading because of the small amount of books in the corner of the image. However, because of school and other activities which because of their age they would have, they don’t read too much. The school age is because of the same reason as how I got the age earlier. The activities presented in this image give that away. They like snacking while working because of the snack in the bowl. The snack wouldn’t be in their room like that otherwise. They have at least one apply product (most likely a phone) because in the other jar thing there is a pair of apple earbuds that comes with the devices. They took this with a camera because of the logo at the bottom and had to have uploaded that picture using a computer. Most likely their computer if they are putting pictures such as this on it. The camera could also lead to more sets of conclusions and possible interest in photography. This ties to the interest in art as well. Speaks German and English because this was posted with a caption in English and they clearly speak German because of the card on the board and their location in the world. I don’t think they live there alone because there wouldn’t be so much in one corner unless this was a bedroom where the resort of the house is filled with not your own things. So, lives with other people. This is also supported by their relative age. This is a bedroom most likely because of the dresser and mirror. Anyone who lives with other people will put most of their stuff in their own room, leaving the probability that they do not live alone at very high.

Room 2 and Explanation

What I Sent:

Initial thoughts, right off the bat I can tell you are somewhat sentimental, You’re a gamer and enjoy playing older versions as well as maybe a few newer versions of games. You are old enough to drink so most likely early twenties and I think you are male. You play with Rubik cubes (don’t know if I spelled the right haha) a lot and have gotten very good at them. You like to snack and drink while gaming or working. I think that computer is mostly used for gaming but is also used for other things. You are a fan of science fiction, specifically Star Wars and you are possibly from the US, I can’t tell for sure. This is your room and you keep most of your things in here because you don’t live here alone. You don’t put much effort into cleaning and only do it when it really needs done, messiness doesn’t bother you. You like puzzles and that goes into your gaming as well. You are likely to prefer story type games that have some goal or storyline and have a sense of challenge to them. You are right-handed and about average height.

Explanation:

Sentimental because of the plushie on the top shelf of the bookcase and a few other items laying around that would not be displayed if they didn’t have a somewhat sentimental attachment to them. Them being a gamer is obvious from the entire computer setup and the games around. They enjoy the older versions of games because of type of game console that is visible. They also have interest in newer games but those are more likely played on their PC ranger than the console. Old enough to drink because of the alcohol bottles around the table. They are male because of the general color scheme leaning toward a male occupant. They play and are good at Rubik cubes because there are several versions of the cube around the room so you can tell they are used a lot. This is a main thing that they like to do with their free time is play with those cubes. Likes to snack and drink while gaming and/or working because of the food as drink items around the computer that are set there automatically from the position at the computer based on their placement. Fan of science fiction and Star Wars because of the items relating to that genre that are evident throughout the room. Specifically, behind the computer and on the bookcase. They don’t live here alone for the same reason as in the last room. Read above for full explanation on that in the previous explanation. The general cleanliness of the room shows that they don’t care too much about being organized. They did say in the caption that they needed to clean though so it is known to them that it could be cleaner but the fact that they haven’t done the cleaning says that they don’t care much too in the first place. So, they only clean when it has to be done. They like puzzles because of the Rubik cubes again. This interest will most likely pass into other interests such as the gaming. People tend to revolve their interests around similar things and they will relate in some way. So, the type of game genre would obviously be more puzzle or storyline type games that have goals to reach. Right-handed again because placement of items. By average height I meant… well… average height for a male of that age. You can tell because of the angle the picture was taken at.

I definitely could’ve gone deeper on analysis of this last photo and a bit of the analysis of the other one, but for the sake of honesty, I will stick to only the responses that I sent to the poster of these images. I did do all of these deductions fairly quickly as I was sitting at work while I did them, and if I had studied them for a longer time initially, I would’ve had much more information. Because of this and because I am only going to stick to what I sent them for the sake of openness to my readers, I challenge you to add to what I have and I’ll tell you whether that is something I concluded upon further analysis of these images and whether I agree with you or not. Feel free to comment those or message me directly!

Disclaimer: I teach people inductive/deductive reasoning and related topics. Most of the information on my blog comes from my own experiences and observations but some of it will also come from various different sources and is just information I use. I don’t claim ownership of information from other sources.

I have been studying these mindsets religiously for a while now and have been practicing memory techniques since I was in the sixth grade. However, I too am still learning. So if you have any suggestions or comments that are helpful to others that I neglect to mention please do so in the comments. I do not claim to know everything there is to know about these techniques. This blog is for educational purposes for me and the readers.

There are several books on the topics which I cover in my blogs. I can send you my working book list if you would like to read them. If you are interested message me.

Also, if you want a source for daily deduction practice material message me.
