poem of my life

I stare at the mounting darkness looming over me,
watching, staring, smirking,
knowing the pain it causes me,
My inner turmoil.
.
Like a drowning man,
I grasp fruitlessly at a straw.
Someone save me.
Please.
.
With quivering hands,
I pick up my lifeline,
Dark ink splattering across my pages,
Is this what i want to be doing for life?
.
I cry in agony,
Hands slamming in frustration,
.
Focus
.
FOCUS
.
.
I can do this
.
.
.
Can I?
