someone enlighten me?

the human species is laughable

a rock revolves around a bright flashlight

and all around the world you hear clinks

of the most expensive yet fragile glass

again: why do they spend their life savings on something so temporary?

something so frail

something so worthless?

but that’s besides the point

so, let me get this right.

we celebrate… for another second passing?

and one second has that huge of a significance?

all the earth did was do the bare minimum

and here we are

applauding the giant floating rock

for yet again surpassing another year

why does it need applause?

why is attention only given when a significant element is added?

why not applaud the earth for dodging the thousands, and thousands of floating astroids

why not applaud when the earth does something which isn't expected to be done

maybe a somersault?
