At Ramen Ventures, we’re always striving to serve founders better.

In February, we increased both how much we invest in startups and how we help them after we invest.

We also changed our investment process to include more time learning about a startup’s users and their problems. We were quickly reminded that if we don’t understand a startup’s users, we can’t be “value-add” investors and shouldn’t invest.

So today we’re introducing two more changes that’ll help us serve founders better.

First, we’re changing what kinds of companies we invest in. Going forward, we’re only investing in startups solving problems we care about, for users that we deeply understand, and are building a future that we want. This will allow us to contribute value, beyond just money, to the startups we invest in.

Second, we’ve created a short Getting Started program for founders that we invest in. We’ll sit down with founders for one hour a week, over six weeks, and help them identify and eliminate the biggest risks to their business. The goals are to build trust between us and use focus, speed, and grit to maximize your odds of success.

Our Mission is to help founders build World-class startups and make the world a better place. As always, we hope that these changes bring us closer to achieving it. Thanks again for the continued support.
