We are pleased to share that Ramona has become a part of the RegeneratOR Innovation AcceleratOR, an integral component of the rapidly growing Regenerative Medicine Hub (RegenMed Hub) based in the Innovation Quarter of Winston-Salem.

As part of this collaboration, our Multi-Camera Array Microscope (MCAM™) technology is now installed and operational within the RegeneratOR Test Bed, where researchers can evaluate new technologies firsthand.

All of Ramona’s Multi-Camera Array Microscopes (MCAM™) come with a sensor and lens array, powerful hand-built processor, and our user-friendly interface. The early-access model is designed around the needs to biologists running high-throughput plate-based assays and is automation-capable.

The RegeneratOR Test Bed supports regenerative medicine start-ups and growing companies by offering an environment to validate new technologies and initiate product development. It aids in establishing standard operating procedures, compiling relevant data, and generating presentations and publications to promote novel technologies. Moreover, the Test Bed facilitates the integration of these technologies into translational GMP facilities, advancing their widespread adoption.

Ramona’s MCAM™ system is a breakthrough in the field of regenerative medicine research. In contrast to traditional microscopes, which can only view a single well at a time, the MCAM™ captures an entire well plate in just 30 seconds. By combining massively parallel microscopy and deep learning software, it allows researchers to rapidly gather quantitative information from cellular samples and triage drug candidates at an earlier stage, accelerating the drug discovery process.

The MCAM™ system is now ready for use at the RegeneratOR Test Bed until mid-September. If you have questions or need information about designing an assay on the MCAM™, you can reach us at info@ramonaoptics.com.

Our participation in the Innovation AcceleratOR program and the installation of our MCAM™ in the RegeneratOR Test Bed underscores Ramona’s commitment to transformative science and service to the research community. As Gregor Horstmeyer, our CEO, expressed, “We are thrilled to build upon our collaborations with leading researchers … and provide direct access to our gigapixel microscopy platform. We believe it can offer unprecedented throughput for imaging cellular samples in well plates, elucidating relevant insights in less time.”

By joining the RegenMed Hub and installing our MCAM™ system in the RegeneratOR Test Bed, we hope to deepen our engagement with the wider research community and creating opportunities for learning, collaboration, and potential refinement of our products.

We’re grateful for the support and collaboration of the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), Innovation Quarter, and the RegenMed Development Organization (ReMDO). Together, we aim to contribute positively to the progression of regenerative medicine.
