That’s right, you can pinch yourself to prove you are not dreaming but now, with rampp.xyz you can have your contract take ERC-20 payments and get a button to make all that magic happen — with no code!

Tutorial on how to use Rampp to mint with an ERC-20!

Rampp.xyz is a free tool that allows you to launch your community, brand, or business into Web3 without the need for a developer. A true one-stop shop for the space.

ERC-20’s & Social tokens suck (right now)

Fundamentally, the idea of a social token was a novel one. People have tried to make them relevant to some success, and some not so. Some notable examples are platforms like Audius, and on the other side, BitClout.

To date, the premier use case of tokens is DAO governance. This model suffers from the same issue as the American democratic system — people don't vote, so they are valueless and also go unused.

Do I even need to remind everyone of the altcoin (read: shitcoin 🤢) craze?

Airdrops were popular in the winter of ’21 — but the entire idea was to flip them on the market people value inevitably evaporated.

There has been a resurgence of social tokens recently to help creators and communities brand build, but what do you do with them?

When airdrop holders realized the price was dependent on selling first 🙃

Where did all those tokens go?

In any case, there has yet to be a consumable purpose for these tokens aside from just whaling a token that nobody else is using or consuming. The worst part is that most “utility” around crypto assets has evolved to NFT ownership and not from ERC-20 ownership.

ERC-20s fell out of public favor with the fallout of ICOs, the winter airdrops, and the altcoins, which was proliferating scams and paving the way for advanced MEV bots🤖.

All the meanwhile, many saw NFTs in their current form as the natural evolution of ERC-20s. Leaving behind the speculation as now there is an image associated with those ERC-20 tokens. They also are now no longer divisible! Voila — NFTs as you know it.

NFTs are doing it better…

NFTs in their current form are a far cry from where they will be in the future, but what they are doing, ERC-20 could not in terms of adoption. Is it thanks to the media? Speculation? Or just pretty images? No one would be able to tell you but one thing is for certain, the idea of owning something and being included in an in-group is certainly popular.

The lack of subdivision of tokens as NFTs is certainly better UX for consumers. When is the last time you paid in only change🪙?

So what to do with all those tokens you issued or raised when your community was getting started? Tell your users to HODL?

ERC-20 tokens are not your enemy…anymore!

Just released, and only on Rampp.xyz, is the ability for creators, communities, and businesses to create a smart contract on up to 5 different blockchains with just a few clicks and begin taking ERC-20 tokens as payment (as well as regular crypto!)

These very same people can now start to take all those “community” social tokens, dust them off, and purchase an NFT that is easier to build an identity and utility around. This closes the entire ownership community loop from minting a token, to claiming an NFT, to being involved in a community…

And you can do all of this on Rampp at no cost.

In the future, we will have more tools available to help you really build a robust Web3 community (and business😉) without code — follow us on Twitter to stay in the loop!
