Science

It’s not love
It’s a bunch of chemicals
A cocktail of dopamine
And adrenaline
Filling our brains
Making us crave
Each other’s touch
And sex

It’s not love
It’s a bunch of chemicals
That make me feel
Like I’m high
I don’t think about love
When I’m with you
I think about sex
And salt and sweat

It’s not love
It’s a bunch of chemicals
Firing in the brain
Lust and attraction
Dopamine and oxytocin
A flush of blood
A tingle in the skin
An ache

It’s not love
It’s a bunch of chemicals
Exploding in your brain
Like a nuclear bomb
Not romance
It’s sweat and grunts
And gasps for air
In between
