As of today, users of MyAlgo Multisig accounts can now use their multisig wallets to interact with external dApps through MyAlgo Connect. Previously, a big limitation of Multisig accounts was that they were not able to connect to Algorand dApps, significantly reducing their use. If you would like to know more about Algorand Multisigs check this guide.

  1. Select wallet to connect

When connecting to a dApp, the MyAlgo Connect pop up window will prompt you to select which account you want to use. As long as you have a Multisig account in MyAlgo, you will be able to see it in the list as an option. If you wish to add a multisig account to a site your wallet is already connected to, you can do so by clicking the “Manage Accounts” option when unlocking your wallet.

Once the wallet is selected, you can proceed with the transaction as usual. Meanwhile, the cosigners must have their MyAlgo wallet window open as they will receive a notification in their wallet dashboard requesting a signature for a pending Multisig transaction.

2. Cosigners will receive a MyAlgo Notification

The notification will be seen on the top right corner bell icon. The user that started the multisig transaction in the MyAlgo Connect pop-up window must keep it open during the entire process while the other cosigners sign. If the pop-up closes at any point, all parties will have to start the process from scratch.

3. All cosigners sign the transaction

The MyAlgo Connect pop-up will show how many signatures have been collected, which cosigners have already signed, and how many are pending to meet the threshold and finalize the transaction. All parties will be able to execute this both from traditional, mnemonic phrase wallets as well as from Ledger hardware wallets. Once all cosigners finish signing their requests, the signed transaction(s) is handed to the dApp and the pop-up is automatically closed. From there, the user can proceed with all of the operations within the dApp.

As always, we are looking forward to receiving our community’s valuable feedback about this much-requested feature. Let us know your thoughts over at Twitter (@myalgo_) and if you have specific, personal questions about this or any other MyAlgo-related issue, email us at hello@myalgo.com
