As you sleep, with the snow falling,
Outside your cozy suburb home.
In the burning forest, all I have,
Are my memories, of old.

Memories, of the setting sun,
Holding you, in my arms.
As the sun rises, from the smoke,
And I’m up in arms.

Memories, of promises, for each other,
Of being a family together.
And here I am, half a world away,
Ripping families apart,
With the pull of a trigger.

Memories, is all I have, of you and me,
Of the time spent, it all seems like a dream.
A dream, to be cherished, till I meet my end.
In an unmarked grave.
