The story begins with The Promotion:

SSara tore through the hospital’s terrace door. Her heart constricted. Her baby sister was standing at the edge of the roof. One step and it would all be over. The bleakness in Nadya’s eyes made her apprehensive.

“Nadya! please get down,” Sarah cried out desperately. She took steps towards her sister, her heart racing anxiously. Tears stung her eyes.

“Nadya, choose life! Please!” she pleaded “Everything will be all right. I promise! Please Nadya!”

“In death, I’ll find peace and finally be free. Always stay happy, Sarah” Nadya spoke her last words stepping backwards.

“NO!!!!!!” Sarah ran for her but Nadya took the leap.

“I save all those lives” she cried, racked by the feeling of utter desolation. “But today I failed.”

Present

“Sarah!” Her husband called for her. She didn’t deserve to be happy, Sarah thought, tears running down her face. She looked up and her breath caught.

Sid’s eyes burnt with resolve.

He was not letting her go.
