Random Thoughts Part 1
Introduction to my randomness
I am told that I am officially a New Yorker now. After an amazing two and a half years of living and working in the city, I have learned a lot. So, here are a few of the random things I have picked up in the last year and a half.
• Laugh.
• Every now and then, take a quick breath to enjoy the moment. You will never get that moment back.
• Make a fool of yourself sometimes. You will be glad you did in your older years.
• Never let fear hold you back from telling someone how you feel. Even if they don’t feel the same, you will be so glad you did in your older years.
• On that note, the most heart breaking words, are words never spoken.
• No one is irreplaceable. No one.
• Don’t go with the flow, make the flow follow you.
• Enjoy the random moments. Some of the craziest and random things happen in New York, don’t ignore them, enjoy them. They are some of the best free entertainment you will ever get.
• Even if you get mad at them, or them at you, never let your friends go. They are on of your most important resources. Especially in New York. The city with 8 million people (give or take) that can feel so very lonely if you let it.
• New York will either make you or break you. Come here with a purpose and it will make you. Come here for no reason and be lazy, and it will chew you up and spit you out.
