Rendering Apple Car, Part 5

Thoughts on Apple Car, Part 136

After thinking about what Jony Ive’s Apple Car would have looked like, or still will, we are going to dive deeper in this post about how the interior may actually work.

As a primer, you might want to read this part first:

That’s why the interior space needs to be as big as possible. Not constrained by the exterior design, but designed from the inside out.

The most important thing about the interior is that it revolves around three use cases:

Work

Work out

Hang out

These are mock-ups that were designed by 3D artist Stefan Eder, and they would be different for any use case.

Think about all the individual possibilities of what the room can be used for when on the go:

Do Yoga.

Meditate.

Play in a band.

See the shrink.

Interview for a job.

Create art.

Think about the marketing questions Apple will ask, much like they did with ‘what’s on your iPod’:

What will you be going after when you’re going in an Apple Car?

Or, like they did with iPhone when they said ‘there’s an app for that’:

Do it on the go.

After all, Jeff Williams – who after Jony Ive the Apple design team is now reporting to – said that the car is the ultimate mobile device.
