The popularity of CBD products among veterans has grown as the stigma associated with using cannabis for medical purposes has waned. Many of these veterans have previously used cannabis for several reasons. Whether it’s the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), pain management, or even anxiety, many of these veterans are now using hemp for the same reasons they did back in the 1960s and 1970s. The FDA has approved CBD for the treatment of seizures caused by two rare pediatric epilepsy diseases. It is also believed to be useful for other medical conditions such as arthritis and Alzheimer’s disease due to its anti-inflammatory activities. Hemp has also become more readily available to veterans in the past decade, primarily due to medical marijuana advocacy groups’ efforts, which have used cannabis to treat PTSD. In addition to CBD, hemp is rich in bioactive compounds such as CBD, CBG, CBN, CBDV, anandamide, inositol, and glutathione.

There are many potential CBD benefits for military veterans. CBD decreases the swelling of muscles after exercise and relieves exercise-related muscle pain. CBD can also help reduce “paresthesia,” which is a burning or prickling sensation usually felt in the hands, arms, legs, or feet, but can also occur in other parts of the body related to neuropathy nerve damage. Nerve cells that transmit pain in the central nervous system have receptors to which CBD can bind, reduce inflammation, and prevent or treat chronic pain.

CBD can also affect brain chemistry, which can decrease anxiety and depression and may help regulate sleep so that veterans get a better night’s sleep. Furthermore, researchers studied 50 young adults who had all suffered a concussion. They found that when the blood concentration of CBD rose, so did the subjects’ ability to think and concentrate and their cognitive functioning overall.

CBD also improves muscle function and recovery by stimulating the central nervous system specifically rather than the body. This, along with reduced inflammation, could potentially help slow or prevent the onset of multiple sclerosis. CBD can also reduce the risk of infection by controlling inflammation, keeping the immune system in top shape, and even combatting disease onset. We know that CBD can increase coagulation and stop bleeding, which could be particularly useful for blood clotting disorders.

CBD is non-psychoactive; it won’t create a ‘high’ in the same way that marijuana, with higher concentrations of THC, does. So veterans who have relied on THC to combat pain and other symptoms will no longer have to worry about the psycho-activity: no matter how much they use, tolerance is not an issue.

Hemp contains all the essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals that our bodies require. It is rich in healthy fats, like omega-three and omega-six fatty acids, and minerals, like copper, magnesium, iron, and zinc.

Hemp seeds and hemp milk, which do not contain CBD, are a good source of zinc, which helps the body absorb iron. Additionally, hemp seeds contain high amounts of protein, strengthening muscles and bones and increasing blood flow. They’re a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, essential for improving brain and heart health and immune function.

Hemp has a more than 50% lower saturated fat content than other vegetable oils and has several heart-healthy qualities. Hemp is an excellent source of nutrients and CBD, but it is still not a well-known ingredient for many people.

If you are using CBD oils or tinctures, it is essential to buy CBD products tested to ensure they are safe to use in any form. There are various ways to use CBD. We recommend using Randy’s Remedy Daily and Randy’s Remedy Extra-Strength lotion together to treat your skin and support whole-body health. In this way, you are affecting your body both systematically and locally. To achieve maximum benefit, use consistently and regularly.

A typical dose of Randy’s Remedy Daily is around 1/2 to 1 full dropper, twice a day, in the morning and the evening, with food.
