Target Group: Student’s having problem with numbers

Objective: Making them thorough upto a count of 100

The Idea: A game is played in which the student’s call out the number’s successively and in an increasing fashion, turn by turn. And if someone misses out or calls a wrong number, punishment cum task is given to comesate for it.

It includes solving the problem’s of addition and subtraction. No exception is made and all the student’s who fail to speak numer’s correctly have to solve these.

The name of each participant is written on the black board in a separate column in order to award them point’s whenever they answer correctly. Point’s are not given for those question’s which are made to solve as a counteract for the previously wrong answered question, though the student might have solved it correctly.

The game of calling out the number’s in succession continues and in the end the highest scorer wins.

Benefits:

By not giving point’s to the punished student’s makes them more attentive and alert in the game and they try to avoid further mistakes.

The very idea of earning more and more point’s motivetes the student’s to give their best in the game and eventually they “learn by fun”.

Besides accomplishing our base objective the game inculcates the spirit of playing together in the student’s.It tend’s to enhance their memory and attention too!

Previous Results:I conducted this game at the Malwa Mill school and the results were inspiring. The student’s who could not recall number’s greater than 30, after the session easily memorized upto 100. Also additive and subtractive practice during the game laid their hand better on these type of questions.
And last but not the least their enthusiastic participation was the key to success of this game.
