Exploring Rangers Protocol’s Technology Ecosystem: Comprehensive Infrastructure/IDE

Rangers Protocol enthusiastically embraced its new brand positioning in July as a Web3 Engine Infrastructure to power up the Web3 world as the backbone of a Web3 Engine for creating immersive Web3 applications.
Rangers Protocol is the first in the industry to recognize the need for a Web3 Engine and define it as a professional system to provide decentralized infrastructures, data management, standardized IDEs, and comprehensive interoperability to ultimately facilitate dApp development.
“We are determined to deliver it all,” states Rangers Protocol’s CBO Nicolas. “We have come up with a comprehensive four-layer design of a Web3 Engine, which consists of, from bottom to top, Blockchain, Infrastructure/IDE, In-app service, and Open-world interoperability.”

In Building a Comprehensive Infrastructure
After launching Rangers Mainnet and laying the foundation of the underlying layer of blockchain in 2021, Rangers Protocol has shifted its focus of development onto a comprehensive infrastructure based on its commitment to minimizing the development difficulty for Web3 developers. Rangers Protocol believes that with the help of comprehensive IDEs, large-scale dApps can be built with not only high efficiency but also superior quality.
In Rangers Protocol’s vision of a powerful Web3 Engine, there should be IDE modules incorporated with features including but not limited to content creation, coding, oracle, data statistics, SDKs, and developer programs, some of which are fundamental to complex applications like large-scale blockchain games while others are visionary and with high market and business potential.
Out of the IDE modules listed above, Rangers Protocol has prioritized the modules of coding, oracle, SDKs, and developer programs which, according to Jiuzi, Rangers Protocol’s CTO, are “deemed essential for ensuring efficiency and quality of complex application development.”
- Coding Language
The coding language is an indispensable part of the development process of integrating dApps and Rangers Protocol’s Web3 Engine infrastructures. Rangers Protocol currently enables dApp development in Solidity and will potentially support other popular programming languages in the future to lower the threshold for vast developers.
Rangers Protocol has deployed an oracle function on its mainnet to provide price services for various tokens, currently including BTC, ETH, MIX, and RPG. The oracle allows developers to obtain real-time token prices in USD through its free API to conduct diverse commercial activities while providing intrinsic DeFi features to enhance the playability and value circulation of the dApp deployed on Rangers Protocol.
As an interface between the blockchain and the real world for data interaction, an oracle can provide trusted data services for smart contracts through transactions and realize the interconnection of blockchain and real-world data. By developing the oracle function, Rangers Protocol aims to activate the interaction between smart contracts and the data from the external world.
- Data Statistics
Fully realizing the importance of data in the development process of dApps, Rangers Protocol aims to provide developers with direct access to data statistics features, including blockchain data, performance data, user data, and more.
With the joint forces of external developers, Rangers Protocol recently launched a new test version of the blockchain explorer and cross-chain data query tool Rangers Scan on its mainnet, to assist users in browsing blockchain operations, including on-chain transactions and blockchain generation, with a more decadent information display.
A software development kit (SDK) is a collection of software development tools in one installable package that facilitates the creation of applications by having a compiler, debugger, and sometimes a software framework. By providing various SDKs, Rangers Protocol aims to bring convenience to its dApp developers and further enhance the efficiency of development.
The SDKs that Rangers Protocol’s Web3 Engine provides include the upcoming universal log-in Light Wallet SDK, with more under development. By having the payment and universal log-in solutions integrated with dApps, developers would be able to lower the usage threshold to a large extent and thus attain more users.
Taking the Next Step
“Rangers Protocol has always been developer-oriented when planning and constructing its ecosystem with new products, features, or upgrades, aiming to assist and support developers along their Web3 journey as much as possible,” Nicolas expresses.
Next, Rangers Protocol will continue building up its technology ecosystem at the infrastructure/IDE level, focusing on further completing its toolsets with traffic distribution SDK, user-friendly dashboards for richer data statistics displays, an asset library allowing access to ecosystem open-source assets, and developer interface to ease game content creation. With its comprehensive infrastructure, Rangers Protocol hopes to provide a simple and smooth experience for vast developers, including those who are potentially from the Web2 world and may not be acquainted with Web3 development yet.
Moreover, Ranger Protocol has been working on launching developer programs that can contribute to long-term and sustainable Web3 development and ecosystem prosperity. In March 2022, Rangers Protocol proudly announced its strategic partnership with Canoe Finance and an upcoming grants program. The beta version of the developer grants has already kicked off and benefited the recently released Rangers Scan, Rangers Bridge, and Node Management Platform, as well as the upcoming Delegated Staking System.
