Future-oriented virtual world blockchain infrastructure Rangers Protocol consists of Rangers Engine and Rangers Connector, where Rangers Engine mainly solves the issues of NFT and complex application development through different technical modules, and Rangers Connector mainly solves the problem of FT and NFT cross-chain security.

From crypto art, digital collectibles, virtual land, to the Play-To-Earn GameFi, even providing only eight game equipment parameters for the community to create derived Loot from the bottom to top — in less than a year, NFT has revealed infinite possibilities of creativity and assets to develop communication in the digital world. This has dramatically expanded the application scenarios of non-financial fields.

Due to this fact, the current blockchain infrastructure has faced many challenges. Although the existing solutions have solved some of the problems in a decentralized manner, they have not formed a unified solution. It is impossible to completely solve the needs of complex application scenarios for NFTs that require higher underlying facilities.

To solve the above problems, Rangers Protocol, a Future-oriented virtual world blockchain infrastructure incubated by the world-renowned blockchain game publishing platform MixMarvel, took three years to develop an underlying technical solution with a clear framework and functions. This infrastructure can provide developers and users with the simplest operation, high performance, and high applicability.

From the technical point of view, Rangers Protocol is divided into Rangers Engine and Rangers Connector.

Rangers Engine: Solving the NFT and Complex Application Development Issues

Rangers Engine is the core part of Rangers Protocol. It is a high-performance chain that can better support complex applications and is highly scalable. It includes:

· RPoS-based VRF+BLS consensus mechanism

· EVM-compatible virtual machine REVM

· NFT protocol that can contain historical data of the entire life cycle of the NFT

Under the combined effect of these technical modules, Rangers Engine can sufficiently support the development of NFT and complex applications.

REVM: Supporting Smart Contracts Deployment and Invocation and Providing Cross-Chain Support

Rangers Protocol provides REVM (Rangers EVM) compatible with Ethereum EVM and supports the deployment and invocation of smart contracts. The original Ethereum contract can also be directly migrated to Rangers Protocol for use without any recompilation needed.

REVM expands the database of NFT based on compatibility with ERC-721. Data in different scenarios and applications are based on on-chain storage and can be thoroughly preserved. REVM also adds a functional instruction set to support a direct cross-chain at the instruction set level.

VRF+BLS Consensus Mechanism: Safely Supporting High-Frequency Trading

Rangers Protocol uses the VRF+BLS consensus mechanism based on the RPoS governance method to solve high-frequency transaction issues. It generates blocks through random group formation and random signatures within the group. The security, stability, and speed of block generation can be guaranteed.

The possibility of the two joining forces to do evil is significantly reduced through the role division mechanism, and developers do not need to worry about fraudulent transactions. The VRF algorithm guarantees proposal nodes and verification groups’ randomness, unpredictability, selection, and concealment. From the perspective of communication complexity, signature length, and performance, the Rangers Protocol team believes that the BLS threshold signature algorithm used by the verification group is more robust than the Byzantine fault-tolerant algorithm.

NFT Protocol: Unified Data Structure

Rangers Protocol unifies the NFT protocol standard: the FT and NFT assets on various chains mapped to Rangers Protocol are unified into a consistent data structure to solve the data consistency problem.

Rangers Protocol’s NFT protocol records the historical data of the entire life cycle of the NFT, including the release of NFTSet, NFT minting, NFT transactions, NFT destruction, and the transfer of NFT assets to public chains.

Rangers Connector: Solving the FT and NFT Cross-Chain Security Problem

Rangers Connector is responsible for completing the interconnection with various public chains, mainly to solve FT and NFT cross-chain security issues for users and developers. It contains a consensus mechanism based on VRF+TSS. The distributed signature system based on TSS (Threshold Signature Scheme) technology uses the same elliptic curve (secp256k1) as mainstream public chains such as Ethereum and BSC. This technology extends the Rangers Protocol consensus system to other public chains, such as ETH or BSC, allowing Rangers Protocol consensus to be verified in smart contracts of other chains.

Rangers Connector also has full nodes of the origin chain and target chain responsible for providing data trust services and modules responsible for cross-chain transactions. At present, Rangers Connector has solved the problem of cross-chain security of FT and NFT. In the future, it will cooperate with more middleware partners to provide more data analysis and global data storage solutions.
