Rangers Protocol continued expanding its ecosystem in July, with new dApp testing, tool launch, and strategic partnership successively announced, achieving impressive progress.

Technical Progress

In July, the Rangers Protocol team kept its development focus on the upgrade of Rangers Mainnet, which continued to operate stably, generating 19 million blocks in total so far.

Rangers Mainnet

Updates and Fixes

a. The possible block synchronization error caused by a single group member quitting an established group is fixed;

b. The network architecture has been optimized to expand Rangers data services to support large-scale dApp data accessing in the future.

Rangers Connector

1. The blockchain integration of Rangers Connector continues smoothly and has been completed by 70% overall.

The detailed development progress in previous months is listed as follows:

  • Signature replacement of the consensus module group is completed by using the TSS algorithm instead of BLS algorithm and tested through (95%);
  • Replacement of the grouping algorithm by substituting the BLS algorithm with the TSS algorithm is completed (95%);
  • Underlying code and value settings of block generation of the cross-chain bridge economic model have been updated and passed testing (90%);
  • Node recruitment and the following node deployment on the Rangers Protocol network are to be updated;

In July, the cross-chain data acquisition module was updated with the Ethereum data crawl module developed, constituting 20% of the overall development work.

2. NFT Cross-chain Update

The overall development is 95% done, with new modification requirements adjusted and developed.

DApp

1. Delegated Staking System

The development of the Delegated Staking System is about to finish with only 5% of work to go. More detailed development progress is as follows:

a. VM staking instructions: 100% (complete in June);

b. Contracts and the front-end: 90%;

c. Comprehensive testing of front-end and back-end functions: 95% (a drastic improvement compared with the progress of 20% last month);

d. Deployment on Robin Testnet: 100% (to be submitted for testing).

2. Miner Console

The Miner Console page, a solution to assist users in applying to be nodes, adding and reducing staking amount, etc., has been checked and accepted, with its overall development progress coming to 100%.

3. Multi-signature Wallet

Officially deployed on the Rangers Protocol mainnet, the multi-signature wallet is fully checked and accepted, the overall development of which is 100% complete.

Rangers Scan Data Service

The development of the Rangers Scan data service is all completed, with all functions developed and accepted. New feature requests are currently being scheduled.

Critical tasks accomplished in previous months are listed as follows:

  • ERC20 contract release and audit process design;
  • Information display of contract source code and more on the contract information page;
  • Adding information statistics of ERC20 contract holders;
  • Adding contract event details and more on the transaction page;
  • Automatic identification of the ERC20 contract;
  • Contract compilation and verification of uploading;
  • Acceptance of contract verification process.

New Achievements

DeHeroGame Technical Testing

The GameFi application DeHeroGame, also the first dApp deployed on the Rangers Protocol network, ran technical testing on the Rangers Protocol mainnet from July 14 to July 28.

During the trial, users got to experience the updated gameplay and win generous rewards in the card upgrading activity while being invited to report bugs and share suggestions to help improve the game.

The trial went successfully, with all reported bugs and suggestions responded to and more upgrades including an optimized registration process scheduled to deliver in the following version.

Grand Guard Launch

On July 21, Rangers Protocol officially released the multi-signature safe Grand Guard, aiming to help businesses and mass users to manage their blockchain assets on the Rangers Protocol mainnet.

Grand Guard is a smart contract wallet that provides complete control over one’s funds and offers support for RAP-20 compatible FT assets and NFT collectibles, ensuring privacy and providing gasless signatures.

Users are now free to create a new Grand Guard account, add an existing safe, and receive funds in less than 60 seconds by following the detailed tutorial on Rangers Protocol’s Gitbook.

Partnership with UniPass

Rangers Protocol also entered a strategic partnership with the non-custodial wallet UniPass in July to provide a seamless experience for mass users and Web3 developers and lower the usage threshold for vast dApp users on the Rangers Protocol network.

UniPass allows users to get non-custodial wallets and start their dApp experience more easily and safely only through a simple email registration, thus helping the dApps on the Rangers Protocol network to better attract Web2 users.

UniPass has already developed a customized version for the Rangers Protocol network and integrated with DeHeroGame and went through a successful DeHeroGame technical testing on the Rangers Protocol mainnet recently.

Rangers Protocol will carry forward its strenuous work on technical development, ecosystem expansion, and more. Please stay tuned for the latest progress.
