Massive Protests Erupt Across The U.S. After Donald Trump Is Elected President
On election night, over a year of tension-filled campaigning came to an end. In a shock to many, America chose Donald Trump as the next President of the United States.
Almost immediately after Trump was announced the projected winner #NotMyPresident started to trend, and anti-Trump protests began to emerge across the U.S. One of the first was outside of the White House:
More were soon to follow with people taking to the streets in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and Oregon.
The day following the election, students were particularly active. Thousands, along with their teachers, protested at Berkeley High School in California.
Students in Austin, Texas and Boston, Massachusetts also made their voices heard.
This all culminated in a night of massive demonstrations in Chicago, San Francisco, and throughout the streets of New York City
One can only stop and think, if there had been this level of mobilization before the election, would there have been a different result?
