RaonWhiteHat, a subsidiary of RaonSecure (a leading IT integrated security and authentication company publicly traded in Korea), has signed a business agreement with Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Information on July 27th on security education training and research exchange cooperation.

RaonWhiteHat and Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Information held a “Mutual Business Agreement Ceremony for the Promotion of ICT Security Research and Education” at Yonsei University’s Millennium Hall on July 27th with the CEO of RaonWhiteHat Junga Lee and the Director of Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Information Bum-soo Kim.

Through this business agreement, RaonWhiteHat plans to support the Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Information on establishing more efficient security practices and developing and expanding high-quality security training contents by providing its hacking defense training service, Raon CTF. Raon CTF is the hands-on security training program created by RaonWhiteHat’s Whitehacker Group. Based on mock hacking service techniques performed in real-world enterprise sites, it provides fine-grained customized training for each level. Currently, it is being used as an actual training course in security-related departments at a number of Korean universities such as Chungbuk National University, Seoul Women’s University, and Ajou University.

RaonWhiteHat and Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Information will also expand exchanges for security research and lecture activities in various areas of mutual interest, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data. With this agreement, RaonWhiteHat will help foster competitive talent in the information security field and establish a mid- to long-term industry-academic cooperation system for the development of the Korean security industry.

“Through this agreement, we will support the development of Korea’s highest level of information protection talent by providing Raon CTF, which is RaonWhiteHat’s hands-on hacking defense training service, to Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Information. In addition, we will lead the development of the Korean security industry and academia by collaborating with Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Information on security research and education activities in various ICT fields.” said Junga Lee, CEO of RaonWhiteHat.
