The Menace of Traffic Beyond Just Wasting Time
All of us from big metropolitan cities are acquainted with this one word which makes our lives hell on a daily basis — Traffic. We keep discussing the degree of this menace from city to city but the problem remains the same everywhere. But is this a problem only of big cities? The plague surely can be seen getting on to the other ones.
It’s an everyday struggle for everyone to reach office in time, hurling through the annoying traffic. Don’t we all wish if we could save that 1 hour in traffic and sleep a bit more? But that’s not all. The daily struggle of dodging traffic, the pollution and dealing with rash drivers is one of the biggest causes of chronic stress among the average working youth. The uncertainty of making it on time makes us all stressful affecting our work efficiencies, deliveries get delayed when businesses depend on them and all that fuel/gas that goes into excessive ignition costs more money — just a few very much visible examples.
A silver lining to see (only if you’re too optimistic in life) of any traffic or congestion is that people are active, there are jobs for people to go to and hence, it is a good sign for the economy. But isn’t the cost of it too high in the long run when people start getting way too frustrated?
The only way to stay in the economic system (coz jobs are important!) and balance the menace out is to find sustainable solutions — solutions that we can implement on individual level and make a better daily living for ourselves.
Let’s think twice before taking our cars out when commuting alone. Let’s switch to better fuel alternatives to check the air pollution and, very importantly, let’s honk lesser and save yourself & others from the annoying noise menace too.
