Rapids Network Roadmap Update.

A statement from the Rapids Network regarding overdue roadmap goals.

Mobile Wallet

The main overdue Roadmap goal and the one which is eagerly anticipated the most is our Mobile Wallet. Full completion of the Rapids Mobile Wallet will be within 2–3 weeks.

We initially partnered with a company to produce a hardware multi-wallet which would be beneficial to both the third party and the Rapids Network. After said third party not sticking to the contract terms in place we had to make the crucial decision to stop working with them and start working on our own wallet from the start, pushing completion time back months.

We now have a much more secure, elegant and user-friendly mobile application for our community!

Integration of FIAT/RPD in mobile wallets.

We have been working closely with a company called CryptoWolf since June 19, They have conducted FIAT to RPD transactions on our website since then, They will also be providing the FIAT to RPD software which we will directly integrate into our applications allowing users to purchase RPD with Debit/Credit cards with minimal effort. This is now completed and ready to implement on full completion of the mobile wallet.

Atomic Swaps

For the Atomic Swap feature in our mobile applications we have been working alongside one of our oldest partners SWFT to give our user base the option to swap RPD to over 100 cryptocurrencies. The hardware wallet provider LEDGER recently announced they had partnered with SWFT and would also be using their technology for transfers between different cryptocurrencies.

Web Browser & Social Media Widgets

This will essentially be one integration, both web browser and social media widgets. Allowing users to link social media @handles to the Rapids browser widget which will give users the opportunity to send and request payments to other users without ever asking them for an RPD address, Simply visit the person or companies social media page with the widget installed, the software then recognises the @handle and RPD address registered to it and auto inputs it into your Rapids browser widget.

The status of the browser widgets is still currently under development. We’re looking at a completion time in Q4.

Partnerships update

We are currently in discusions with a large catalogue company in the United Kingdom with a Net worth of over $1.5billion and millions of daily customers. Talks have been fruitful and we will keep you updated on the topic.
