Comments:

We navigated our way down the increasingly treacherous steps at the Marine Room, which the recent El Nino storms have made so by exposing large rocks I don’t recall seeing there before, right in front of the stairs — which is fine during low tide, but if you have the misfortune to try and navigate them on the way back during high tide, with waves at your back, you’ll need to be extremely cautious and remember that they are there, just under the surface, or risk doing a humiliating face plant. There is also a narrow drainage pipe on the left as you come in, so watch out for that as well: that’s a twisted ankle waiting to happen.

Anyway, the dive itself was actually not bad. Viz was descent below 80 ft. and there were numerous Tuna Crabs and Sea Hares scattered about along the bottom — in fact, that was about all that *was* out……..I saw some unidentified juvenile fish in a crevice and some interesting blocks of soft clay which had obviously broken off during last winter’s storms — the bottom topography is totally unrecognizable unless you dive there weekly.

A Sea Hare about 5 ins long
Interesting underwater structure: most likely a chunk of clay broken off in recent El Nino storms
