Rare Giants is a Sheffield based not-for-profit organisation founded by Kat Chirnside and Ryan Finnigan (formerly of Sheffield Doc/Fest and The Five and Dime Picture Show respectively), which aims to promote works of art with cultural significance and create debate and discussion around their themes.

The works shared and films screened will be those that have often been overlooked or have benefited from restoration and preservation, to highlight the importance of protecting art for future generations.

Rare Giants is a volunteer committee made up of individuals with film events and industry experience, and who share a passion for film and arts restoration. We’re working with organisations, venues and experts in the field to not only offer the chance to show incredible works of art at their best possible quality, but to also facilitate the opportunity for people to explore and discuss the themes around them.
