Rare Giants are proud to present a special 50th anniversary screening of Richard Brooks’ In Cold Blood, in a stunning new 4K restoration from Park Circus.

Adapted from Truman Capote’s best seller, a breakthrough narrative account of real-life crime and punishment, the film adaptation became equally chilling in the hands of writer-director Richard Brooks. Cast for their unsettling resemblances to the killers they play, Robert Blake and Scott Wilson give authentic, unshowy performances as Perry Smith and Dick Hickock, who in 1959 murdered a family of four in Kansas during a botched robbery.

Critically acclaimed and selected for entry into the National Film Registry in 2008, released on the Criterion Collection in the U.S. and described as “almost perfect” by The Guardian, In Cold Blood is an unmissable cinematic experience.

Entry to the film is free; the screening will have surrounding extra materials and the opportunity to discuss the film after the screening. No tickets will be required but in the event of reaching capacity — entry will be on a first come, first served basis.
