Last week, Samuel posted the future of how the Rari Capital DAO will be working. The post located here, highlighted various task forces that would be responsible for growing the protocol in their own ways. This post serves to highlight a roadmap for the three task forces that the DAO will begin with: the infrastructure task force, the Market XYZ task force and the generalized applications task force.

Infrastructure Team

Below will highlight the infrastructure team’s roadmap. The infrastructure team is responsible for making sure that the protocol and governance are running smoothly and providing the best experience to everyone. The roadmap below is subject to change.

Governor Bravo and robust governance framework

This is about further securing the Rari Protocol by rolling out Governor Bravo and ensuring that the protocol is as safe as can be. Alongside this, creating the frameworks that governance needs to succeed in an on-chain environment.

Invariance mechanism for Fuse

Creating a robust mechanism to ensure that as we head into permission-less pool creation, the Fuse pools have proper security precautions. This is ensuring that people are not deploying fake assets into pools and then rugging. Additionally, Fuse will support timelocks for the addition of assets into pools.

Updated RSS prepared for permission-less assets

The RSS, or rather the Rari Safety Score, has the responsibility of ensuring that users are aware of the risks before entering into a pool. This is about re-creating the RSS around the variables that truly matter, like liquidity inside of an AMM for the assets inside of a Fuse pool to ensure a healthy liquidator environment.

Permission-less pool creation with Fuse

I think the title says it all for this one, but enabling anyone to create pools within the Fuse platform. This means that you won’t need to go lobby to the DAO if you want to borrow against whatever assets you want.

veRGT

The veRGT is a model that is inspired by Curve Finance’s tokenomics that enable the RGT to be locked up between 0 and 4 years and have governance power relative to that (important for the subsequent point). This should lay the groundwork for ensuring our token holders are committed with us for a long-term.

Gauges for Fuse Liquidity Mining

This will create gauges so that the veRGT holders can dictate which Fuse pools (and eventually yield aggregator assets) will receive the RGT rewards that will be distributed as part of liquidity mining.

Complete redesign for asset based discovery

The main Rari interface is being redesigned to have a focus on asset-based discovery, laying down the groundwork for when we have a yield aggregator for hundreds of assets. This will be an interface meant for both pro’s and also noobies.

Move to IPFS + decentralized front-ends

The main Rari interface will be deployed on IPFS and various other sites like that to ensure that if the main interface goes down, it is not an issue. Additionally, working with various developers to develop alternative front-ends to access the protocol.

Easy Margin Product

Deploying our margin product that uses flash loans to open up Fuse positions that enable you to take out levered bets on any assets that are liquid within the Fuse platform.

YieldSpace AMM for supports REPT-b

This is about creating an AMM for the REPT-b asset (the asset that the victims of the May 2021 hack received).

New yield aggregator (supports every asset)

The new yield aggregator will support every single asset inside of Fuse through a standardized factory contract. Want a yield aggregator for ALCX, FEI, RGT, etc.? Here’s your place. The technical risk will be minimized as it will only be directing capital into various Fuse pools.

Plugins framework

The plugins framework will allow unused supply inside of a Fuse pool to be directed elsewhere. This will push yields inside of a Fuse pool up dramatically and also solve the chicken-egg problem that most new pools will face.

Fuse on Arbitrum and Optimism

The Fuse platform will be deployed both on Arbitrum and Optimism as independent markets from the main L1 deployment. Before we can do this, we will need to see decent DEX liquidity to make sure we can have healthy liquidations.

Nova launch

Nova is our product that enables users to interact with L1 from an L2 optimistic environment. This will likely be launching alongside Optimism.

Fuse V2 (way more capitally efficient)

This is in early stages but we are actively exploring what we can do as the next version of Fuse. In early drafts, this will be a significantly more capitally efficient protocol.

Tanks explainer

Some of you may have been expecting to see tanks on this list. We’ve written about tanks at length in various other places. Despite multiple audits and security reviews, we have decided to shelve this product. The technical risk is too large and the infrastructure team should be focused on the core competencies. There will be a longer explainer here and lessons learned soon.

Market XYZ

Below will highlight the Market XYZ, a task-force within the Rari ecosystem. The team will be creating a flagship front-end for the protocol, managing a Polygon deployment and exploring various exotic applications of Fuse.

Flagship front-end

The Market XYZ team is developing the premier route to interact with the Fuse protocol, both as a heavy power-user and as a DeFi beginner.

Polygon deployment

The Market XYZ team just launched their first product on http://market.xyz/ by bringing the Fuse protocol to Polygon. This will enable the Fuse ecosystem to reach new assets, new projects and serve a whole new range of customers.

Exotic Use Cases

The Market.xyz team will work alongside the infrastructure team on asset-based discovery, easy margin product, yield-aggregation in pools etc. In the long run the team will also develop new DeFi products for the Rari protocol such as tranched collateral branches (enabling NFT as efficient collateral), negative interest-debt (for fundraising) and in the very long run may venture to data/prediction-markets.

Generalized Applications

Below will highlight the Generalized Application’s team roadmap. The Generalized Application’s team will be actively and aggressively implementing the Rari Protocol all around the ecosystem in addition to developing applications that live on top of it. The roadmap below is subject to change.

Integration with Set Protocol for FLI products

Creating a Set Protocol adapter so that all of the Index Coop’s products can directly plug into the Rari Capital ecosystem.

Integration with Yearn Finance

Creating a strategy so that Yearn can deploy capital directly into the aggregator and Fuse.

Integration with an AMM

Working with an AMM (like Balancer) to deploy un-utilized assets in an AMM directly into the Fuse platform, potentially in their own pool.

Order book

Creating an order book on top of the current Fuse platform, enabling new heights of capital efficiency.

DAO exploration

There is a lot that the members of the DAO can be pushing for and helping with. The biggest thing is more aggressively onboarding and expanding the contributor community. You can view more about the task force model in this Medium post.

If you have an idea for a task force that you want to see, let me know what I can do to help support you! I have a ton of ideas and I want to make sure that we’re not just stuck up in DeFi. We should be making a positive impact in this world and actually be sticking our heads outside of this echo chamber. Let me know if any of this excites you and/or what you’d like to do.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you are by our side as we develop and make this a reality.
