Rarible.com is now an aggregator…but what does this change mean for developers building on top of the Rarible Multichain Protocol?

Rarible 2

We’re excited to announce that Rarible.com is now an aggregator! You can buy NFTs listed in multiple marketplaces in 1 place AND earn rewards in $RARI. Learn more here.

To make these changes possible on rarible.com, many updates were performed on Rarible Multichain Protocol’s indexer and SDK. These updates not only improve the Protocol itself, but also provide a better experience to our community of developers building on the Protocol.

Let’s go through each of these updates in more detail.

API

Some of the most important updates were made on the Protocol’s indexer which allows adding next level value to the API users.

Previously, when looking for data on the lowest prices, Protocol users were only able to compare 3 sources — Rarible, OpenSea and the White-label marketplaces. Now, it’s possible to get (and compare) this data from many different marketplaces, such as LooksRare, Sudoswap and X2Y2.

Practically speaking, this brings more liquidity to NFTs, on the Protocol level.

SDK

The Multichain SDK now allows users to buy multiple NFTs from different sources in only 1 transaction. This means that, when you build your NFT dApp on the Protocol; you can allow your users to buy multiple Ethereum ERC-721 NFTs listed on Rarible, OpenSea and LooksRare, for example, in a single transaction.

We’ve also introduced an optional parameter that will enforce royalties in ALL marketplaces. In Sudoswap’s case, the Protocol supports the linear, exponential and concentrated XYK bonding curves.

Roadmap

The aggregator and all the features mentioned in this article are currently only available on Ethereum. Expansions to other blockchains are on the roadmap and will be released soon.

The team is also working on outsourcing data, which will allow functions to return all the orders on all the blockchains supported by the Protocol.
