Pitch Report (Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad)

The pitch at Ahmedabad will be a good one for batting and it will get better as the game progresses because of dew. There will be something for the bowlers in the first innings as it will move a bit and the spinners will get some purchase too. The pacers may get some movement under the lights but overall, it will be a great wicket to bat on. Teams may prefer chasing. Expect scores in the range of 270–280 and anything above that will be a potentially winning total.

Dependable Trio for D3

David Warner (Australia) [Captain]: David Warner has 413 runs in 6 innings at an average of 68.83 this ODI WC. He has 2 centuries to his name and has been in terrific touch. Warner has been very aggressive at the top & he will fancy his chances against England’s struggling bowling unit. He will be our captain pick for this game.

Travis Head (Australia): Travis Head scored a brilliant century on his WC debut in the last game against New Zealand. He scored 109 runs in just 67 deliveries. Head will look to attack in the power play and can score big once he gets going. He may bowl a few overs of his off-spin too. Head will be a good Captain pick, especially when the Aussies are batting second.

David Willey (England): David Willey will bowl with the new ball and is capable with the bat too. He can swing the new ball and pick a few wickets upfront. He picked up 3 wickets and scored 16* runs in the last game against India.
